Innovation HT Wrestling Club is owned and operated by R. "Hollywood" Hemingway and his wife Latonya Hemingway.
Coach "Hollywood" and Coach Latonya have combined their extensive wrestling experience to establish Innovation HT Wrestling Club to help athletes build the necessary skills and disciplines to be successful in their ventures in wrestling as well as, in life.

Our Coaches
R. Hollywood Hemingway
Head Coach/Director
Coach R. “Hollywood” Hemingway was a successful wrestler for Lower Richland High School in South Carolina. Coach Hemingway won 28 matches and only lost one in the 129 lb. weight class as a senior in high school. Coach Hemingway also won a state championship with Lower Richland High School. Upon graduating, he attended and wrestled as a standout athlete for Gardner-Webb College (now Gardner-Webb University).
In his time as a Bulldog, he was an All-American recipient and went on to win numerous wrestling tournaments in the Free-style, Greco, and Folk-style wrestling formats. In his success, Coach Hemingway went on to become a Board of Directors for USA Wrestling in the Midlands, a Bronze Certified coach and a Certified Wrestling official as well.
Coach Hemingway lead several South Carolina high school programs to successful winning seasons, producing many qualifiers and champions along the way. Coach Hemingway has also won Region Coach of the Year twice and has over 200 career wins during his tenure as a high school coach.
In 2014, Coach Hemingway founded the first Historical Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) sanctioned wrestling program in the Country at Allen University. The wrestling team completed five consecutive winning seasons and captured its first ever wrestling invitational championship trophy while at Allen University.
In 2017, after joining the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Coach Hemingway was appointed chairman of the AAC wrestling committee. Coach Hemingway also accepted and graduated from the nationally identified wrestling leadership academy, the National Wrestling Collegiate Association (NWCA).
LaTonya Hemingway
Assistant Coach/ Director of Wrestling Operations
Coach Latonya is very instrumental in the success of Innovation HT Wrestling and specializes in Free-style, Greco, and Folk-style wrestling formats. She has produced many Region, State, and National champions, as well as, multiple All-Americans.
Latonya attended the College Leadership wrestling academy and was Head Assistant Wrestling coach at Allen University. Latonya is also a certified USA Wrestling coach and a NCWA certified Wrestling coach.
